After leaving Firestone, I attended Dartmouth College. I assumed I would become a physician. God had other plans for me. After college, I ended up getting a Masters of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to a very gratifying career in health care administration. While I never had the privilege of "laying hands" on a patient, I realized that I actually had become a care giver, by caring for those who did care for patients. On the personal front, I have also been blessed. I married Barbara Burnham Rankin, another 1969 Falcon and we were blessed with three children and three grandchildren. We have done quite a bit of traveling, and I spend a lot of time supporting Barbara's new passion for all types of dog sports.
